Gender & Education

Questions to Answer:

1) According to your data, what pattern if any do you see?

From my data I can clearly see that I've had way more female teachers than male teachers.

2) Explain what your data is saying.

My data shows the ratio between male and female teachers. The ratio is 29 female teachers to 17 male teachers. This means that 63 percent of my teachers have been female, and the other 37 percent have been male.

3) Who in society could use your data and how could they use it?

One group of people who could use are school boards. They can see how many teachers of a certain gender and try to diversify their school district. Another group who can use this data are the parents of students. They can see what teachers are possibly teaching their child. If they feel the need to balance out their child's teachers by gender, they have the option to talk to the principal.
